Join Us for a Guided Walk
At the Kuulanapo Wetland Preserve
Saturday, October 19th, at 8 AM
We will guide you through the pasture and oak woodland to the shoreline. You will see a variety of wildlife and get a chance to see the two viewing platforms currently being constructed at the water's edge.
All walks begin at 8 AM. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. We suggest also bringing a hat, drinking water, and if you have them: binoculars.
The preserve is as close to the original, natural shoreline as you can get.
Good news! We now have restroom facilities available at the parking area!
To get to the preserve, travel east on Soda Bay Road towards Kelseyville from Lakeport and pass the Transfer-Recycling facility. Just past the Manning Creek Bridge take a left after the first mailbox to head into the preserve. There is a Lake County Land Trust sign near the entrance. Take this road past two unlocked gates. Just past the second gate is an area to park: we will gather there.
