Lake County Land Trust State of the Trust Coffee Event

State of the Trust Coffee

Land Tending Days:  Last year LCLT sponsors a few days to bring interested folks to the Preserve to “tend” a few areas where we are nurturing the native grasses. It iss fun gathering outside and making a difference at the Preserve. Are you interested in learning how to identify common native bunch grasses and helping them thrive at the Preserve? Do you like being outside, getting your hands into the Earth, meeting like minded people and sharing a meal? If so, join us at the Rodman Preserve  for “Land Tending Days.”

Spring Celebration:  For years the Spring Celebration and Fundraiser has been held at the Blue Wing Restaurant Saloon at the Tallman Hotel, thanks to the generous sponsorship of owners Lynne & Bernie Butcher.  Guests can expect delicious hors d’ouevres to be sampled and local wines to be flowing all to the sounds of live local music and good cheer. Join us in celebration of the Land Trust’s recent successes and in support of our current projects. Live music, wine, hors d’ouevres.

State of the Trust Coffee:  The Lake County Land Trust holds an annual “State of the Land Trust Coffee" each year, usually in April. The coffee is part of the Land Trust’s “DONOR BENEFITS,” program for Blue Heron, Osprey, and Golden Eagle donor levels. We gather together at the Rodman Preserve’s Nature Center in the later morning for fresh coffee/tea, and tasty breakfast goodies. After some mingling with other LCLT supporters we hear updates about the latest Land Trust’s acquisitions, projects, and plans for the coming year. It is a wonderful event to spend time in good fellowship at our beautiful Preserve and to embrace our conservation efforts.

Annual Dinner Celebration: The annual dinner was started in 1999 to celebrate the completion of the Rodman Preserve acquisition project. The dinner has been a tradition ever since. The trust honors its supporters of the year at each dinner and also hosts interesting guest speakers. Invitations are sent to Land Trust members but the public is also cordially invited to attend this event.
