Land Tending Days
November 9 | 10 AM to 12 PM
Rodman Preserve Land Tending
Enjoy a few hours helping out the beautiful lands at the Rodman Preserve! Land Tending volunteers have done well. Out of 200 planted, most sprouted and now about 150
are ready to plant in the developing native plant garden at the Rodman Preserve.
Board member Roberta Lyons, with the advice of grass expert, board member Cathy Koehler, has been watering and protecting the seedlings and is looking forward to getting them in the ground. Species planted were Bromus Carinatus (California Brome), Elymus Elymoides (squirrel tail), Stipa Pulchra (purple needle grass) Danthonia (California Oat Grass) and Elymus Glaucus (bluewild rye).
Hope you can join us. We will start at 10am and plant the seedlings in the Interpretive Garden by the Nature Center at Rodman Preserve. A light lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
A light lunch will be provided! And can be enjoyed on our Nature Center porch overlooking the preserve. So that we know how many will be with us for lunch:
