Dinner With Direction: Geography of Hope The annual dinner was started in 1999 to celebrate the completion of the Rodman Preserve acquisition project. The dinner has been a tradition ever since. The trust honors its supporters of the year at each dinner and also hosts interesting guest speakers. Invitations are sent to Land Trust members but the public is also cordially invited to attend this event. The Dinner with Direction is an important fundraising effort, with the funds coming from sponsorships, a spirited Fund-A-Need paddle raise, and a silent auction.
Boggs Lake Clean Up Day Date TBA Boggs Lake Preserve, 6902 Harrington Flat Road, Kelseyville. Please bring work gloves and if you have them, a cordless hand sander and hammer might be useful, too. After working, join us at noon at a nearby private residence for lunch and special presentations. Lunch provided by the Land Trust Board and Staff, and presentations by Larry Serpa of the Nature Conservancy; and Peter Geist, biology professor at Sonoma State University, talking about the Western Pond Turtle.
Spring Celebration For years the Spring Celebration and Fundraiser has been held at the Blue Wing Restaurant Saloon at the Tallman Hotel, thanks to the generous sponsorship of owners Lynne & Bernie Butcher. Guests can expect delicious hors d’ouevres to be sampled and local wines to be flowing all to the sounds of live local music and good cheer. Join us in celebration of the Land Trust’s recent successes and in support of our current projects. Live music, wine, hors d’ouevres.
